SEASONS OF COMPASSION

We support a number of ministries that reach our local communities, assisting them in spreading the Gospel among our neighbors. In addition to budget-directed ministry partner support, a specific ministry is highlighted in our Seasons of Compassion, offering our church community additional opportunity to support that ministry.

We are thankful to partner with our ministry partners, all passionate about and striving towards making disciples of all nations.

Seasons of Compassion

SPRING

Lighthouse Pregnancy Resource Center: Baby Bottle Boomerang

Lighthouse Pregnancy Resource Center supports and guides women and their loved ones facing unplanned pregnancy “toward life-enhancing choices.” We collect funds (digitally and within physical baby bottles) to support the life-sustaining resources and support of Lighthouse.

SUMMER

ONOMA Community Outreach: collecting unscented baby wipes, deodorant and adult socks

We are excited to kickoff our Summer Season of Compassion, and this year we’re partnering with ONOMA Community Outreach! From the Greek word for
name, ONOMA has developed from just an idea to a non-profit street ministry based in downtown Paterson that provides food, clothing, and resources to individuals facing homelessness and severe poverty. Their mission is to show the love of Jesus in a personal way, starting with learning each person’s name, and by serving in the same location every week, they’re striving to build a true sense of community. This year for our season of compassion, we will be collecting unscented baby wipes, deodorant and adult socks for ONOMA.

AUTUMN

New Hope: collecting items for food pantry

We are excited to announce our Fall Season of Compassion, New Hope Community Ministries, “Give Food, Give Hope”.  In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we will come alongside New Hope, to help provide food for their new food pantry, which has tripled in size. You can pick up a shopping list, and bags at Grace Connect. This food pantry is vital to the community served by New Hope’s ministry. Food bags are due back to Grace Connect on November, 16th.

WINTER

Child Focus: Wish Tree

We also set up a Child Focus (formerly CASA-kids) Wish Tree to collect gifts for Child Focus-kids. Child Focus is made up of volunteers who seek the best-interests of foster children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
