The Ellis family serves with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Vanuatu, a string of islands in the South Pacific. They work with people to help them interact with God’s Word and apply it to their lives. Their family helps local individuals, families and churches to understand the translated Scripture and integrate spiritual truths into their lives.
The translation arm of their ministry is currently working through translation of the New Testament and Old Testament, while Casey engages people with that scripture and develops resources to help the people apply it to their lives. They have developed Bible apps for phones, recorded dramatized community recordings of scripture, and supervised the printing and distribution of books as they are translated. Recently they have established an FM radio station with worship music, Bible teaching and audio scriptures. Along with home schooling their three children, Val leads a weekly children’s local language literacy and Bible club.
