New Hope is a unique ministry in Prospect Park and Haledon where more than 10% of the population lives below the poverty line. They envision a transformed community where individuals and families are safe, strong, self-sufficient, and experiencing God’s grace; where neighbors are reconciled racially, socially, and economically; and where people put aside their differences to work together to meet needs, affirm strengths, and develop leaders. They offer professional counseling, parenting classes, mentoring, ESL classes, along with a food pantry.
